Mover & Shaker: Jake Bronstein

Jake Bronstein, is an entrepreneur, Internet personality, and blogger. He was an editor of the US edition of FHM, a men’s magazine (according to Wikipedia).

What does Jake have to do with Residential Design? Aside from making a handful of items for the home? Nothing. soap_1_medium

Before I tell you about why I wanted to talk about Jake, I have to tell you how I found him. I am OBSESSED with Good Life Project, an amazing diary of amazing people telling their story. “Good Life Project™ is a movement. A set of shared values. A community. A creed, bundled with a voracious commitment to move beyond words and act. First, as a manifestation of your soul. And then as a quest to have the adventure of a lifetime, and to leave the world around you changed.” I just love it.

Anyway, I have been watching all of the episodes and Jake was in one of them.

stones_2_mediumHe started a company called Flint and Tinder, whose goal is to redefine what is is to be “American Made”, and that’s cool, but the most AMAZING part is, that they are making things to LAST. I love it. Amazing quality AND made locally (not in China and Indonesia).

Jump here to learn about a few products, which are made for men and for the home!

Jump to Good Life Project to see his interview. I bet you’ll see how his ideology can change the world and reignite
American manufacturing.
